Rythms from Ghana

I have been taught these rythms by Sellassi Dewornu while playing to the nice dancers at Ahlefeldsgade kulturhus. This is a lot of fun and if you happen to live in Copenhagen and like drumming and dancing I would highly recommend it!

These recordings have been made on my linux box using the Renoise tracker. The sound may have a somewhat mechanical feel, but the groove can be heard fairly well. Samples from the drums have been taken in the rehearsal room of Hardwood Vibration and also at the Trommelwerkstatt.

All of the recordings are 100 BPM but the rythms can of course be played faster if one is so inclined. Be sure to notice the basses when listening... Well, I am sure you will!
